Hollywood Reporter: Rush Limbaugh Predicts Dinesh D'Souza's "America" Will Be "Huge"

In a rare move for the No. 1 talk-radio host, he begs his audience to see the movie, which he compares to It’s a Wonderful Life.

Rush Limbaugh made a rare plea to his audience to see Dinesh D’Souza’s America, a film that opens in 1,105 theaters on Wednesday and that the nation’s top radio talk-show host likened to Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life.

“Ladies and gentlemen, a movie made well can do an incredible job of telling a story, using images and words and music that make you think,” Limbaugh said Tuesday during a passionate segment that was not a paid endorsement.

“Remember the movie It’s a Wonderful Life? Jimmy Stewart’s guardian angel shows him what Bedford Falls would have been like had he not lived … well, the question today is … what would the world be like if there were no America?”

America is the follow-up to 2016: Obama’s America, a surprise hit documentary about President Barack Obama that made a impressive $33 million at the domestic box office in 2012. D’Souza is co-producer with Gerald Molen, the Oscar-winning producer of Schindler’s List, and co-director with John Sullivan, who also co-directed 2016.

“If its predecessor is any guide, the movie will start in a few theaters, it’ll grow, and then word-of-mouth is going to build it and build it. It’ll end up being huge,” Limbaugh said Tuesday. Hear the audio below.

“You’ll be inspired by it. It talks about the enemies of America. A lot of people don’t wish this country well, and he makes the point in the movie that Obama didn’t create that movement. That movement created Obama.” Limbaugh said. “The idea that America is the problem in the world, that movement’s long existed, and it gave us Obama and many modern-day Democrats.”

I went to see Denish D’souza “America” today , 1st day opening at the movie theater, Denish
is a truthful person, and so right, there are many who called themselves Americans, but they hate America, I will say this to the whole lot of them. I love America, it has been great for my family and me, this country is not oppressed. its the loonies out there that are oppressed and if they don’t like living in America, leave our wonderful country and please go live in another country. and lets see if you can make your millions with your corruption in another country and see how you will get away with that….that means, you millionaries like Hillary, Michael Moore ,Obama and the dems/liberals, oh, lets not forget the traitor Jane Fonda, and many more of you idiots, this is a documentary and it was well written….it is frighting, America, so its up to us to protect ourselves and not this goverment and their Ideology.

Saw AMERICA tonight and it was truly a history lesson which I wish my fifth graders had seen. It also has motivated me to put together a reading list for myself so I can further my knowledge of American history.
