A Debate: Is the World Better Off without Religion?

My Intelligence Squared Debate is now available online. I argue against the motion that the world would be better off without religion. Rabbi David Wolpe and Idebated Matthew Chapman and A.C. Grayling also participated on November 15th at NYU’s Skirball Center for Performing Arts.

Slate Magazine interviewed me before the debate to ask why I am against the motion; you can read the article here.

You can also watch the video of the debate here.

Through D'Souza's trademark incisiveness, wit, and originality, United States of Socialism reveals how the Left uses the Venezuelan formula for socialism, decisively refutes this new face of socialism, chillingly documents the full range of the Left’s gangster tendencies, and provocatively exposes the tactics of the socialist Left.

This debate title annoys me. Atheism is a religion. The title should be, which is what they really mean anyway, “The World Would Be Better Off Without Christianity” Now that’s a topic. And Atheist don’t want to debate that.
