The America Education Outreach program and Movie to Movement sponsored the 40th Annual Student Advocacy Workshop in Sacramento last week.

Here are some highlights from the event:

Through D'Souza's trademark incisiveness, wit, and originality, United States of Socialism reveals how the Left uses the Venezuelan formula for socialism, decisively refutes this new face of socialism, chillingly documents the full range of the Left’s gangster tendencies, and provocatively exposes the tactics of the socialist Left.

This film was so incredible and what a reminder of how truly unique and wonderful America is on the world stage and how blessed we are to live here. Every student should see this film and adults will appreciate the rich history and beautiful scenery that is America shown in this film. You leave feeling so blessed, proud and in awe of the United States and are reminded of where we came from and why we came here.

While I was in the theatre I got ready-eyed at the beautiful landscape and images and the lady next to me wept. After the film we said hello and she explained she was from Cuba and had brought her grandson to the film because she wanted him to know the America that she knows and understands. She said she feared younger generations are being deceived by a negative media agenda and that she came from an oppressive environment to live here and she wants him to know how amazing America truly is and not take it for granted. She said she LOVES America and her grandson said he was extremely impressed and grateful for seeing the film.

The film is a masterpiece, answering the accusations of the Left and America-haters in a systematic, fair, and dignified manner. That’s the real difference between the Left and Conservative approaches to understanding the idea of America. The film is a testament to reason and calm contemplation instead of political appeals to emotion and irrationality. So, of course it is not going to be popular with hose who want to manipulate through propaganda to achieve knee-jerk obedience to the government.

This country was an experiment in freedom for the greatest number. It has now degenerated into freedom for the few, narrowly defined class of Marxist/Leninists who politicize every aspect of our lives. The true beauty of the film is its understanding of the central truth of American prosperity: liberty from politics as the guiding force in a person’s life in favor of the individual pursuit of happiness. Thank-you D’Souza.
