The Roots of Obama’s Rage

He’s been called many things: a socialist, a radical fellow traveler, a Chicago machine politician, a prince of the civil rights movement, a virtual second coming of Christ, or even a covert Muslim. But as New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D’Souza points out in this shockingly revealing book, these labels merely slap our own preconceived notions on Barack Obama.

The real Obama is a man shaped by experiences far different from those of most Americans; he is a much stranger, more determined, and exponentially more dangerous man than you’d ever imagined. He is not motivated by the civil rights struggles of African Americans in the 1960s—those battles leave him wholly untouched. He is not motivated by the socialist or Marxist propaganda that hypnotized a whole generation of wooly–minded academics and condescending liberals—those concepts also leave him cold.

“…D’Souza has made a stunning insight into Obama’s behavior, the most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.” —Newt Gingrich, Former Speaker of the House

What really motivates Barack Obama is an inherited rage—an often masked, but profound rage that comes from his African father; an anticolonialist rage against Western dominance, and most especially against the wealth and power of the very nation Barack Obama now leads. It is this rage that explains the previously inexplicable, and that gives us a startling look at what might lie ahead.

In The Roots of Obama’s Rage you’ll learn:

  • Why Obama’s economic policies are actually designed to make America poorer compared to the rest of the world
  • Why Obama will welcome a nuclear Iran
  • Why Obama sees America as a rogue nation—worse than North Korea
  • The real reason Obama banished a bust of Winston Churchill from the White House and ordered NASA to praise the scientific contributions of Muslims
  • Why Obama would like to make America’s superpower status a thing of the past

Stunning, provocative, original, and telling—no one has better diagnosed who Obama is, what he intends to do, and why he poses an existential threat to America than Dinesh D’Souza in The Roots of Obama’s Rage.

What others are saying

“Dinesh D’Souza is one of the most original, insightful, and penetrating minds in America today.”
— Paul Johnson, author of Modern Times

“…D’Souza has made a stunning insight into Obama’s behavior, the most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”
— Newt Gingrich, Former Speaker of the House

I have read this book “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” and it really gave me insight into this very hollow person. We have known a fes narcistic people over the years, but to have this kind of person in our White House trying to destroy our country brick by brick is the worst that has happened to us in all times, as the blatant way he goes about it is so insulting to the majority of our country’s intelligence. Although I have to say, that there are still those that don’t get it. And think he is great. How do we change their minds and bring to the knowledge that he really doesn’t care about them. I am saving up to be able to purchase your other books, as I want them in my library for my children and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing your writings with us. And I am looking forward the the moving this summer. God Bless, Andrea Talbot

You put out a real “eye opener” on Obama with the “Roots of Rage” book. I’ve recommended it to many others who might need an awakening!
I look forward to the 2016 movie coming out this Summer. And thanks for being the “Paul Revere” of these tumultuous days under this man’s so-called “presidency”.

I have read the “Rage” twice. I keep thinking there must be a way to use some of the information to help make him “a one term” president. He needs boatloads of prayer. He thinks he is doing what God wants him to while calling evil good and good evil with his actions. Dinesh, how can this info be used to elect a new leader?

Loved reading Roots of Obama’s Rage.
It contains many very enlightening facts about Obama, how he thinks and his desire to reduce the United States worldwide power to an equal playing level with other countries.
A must read for anyone who really wants to know what drives our President in his thinking and actions.
    Well done Dinesh!

I have not only read the “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” but also seen and recorded the “Glenn Beck” TV programme with you on the book while Glenn was with the FOX News.
I cannot wait to see 2016.

I read your book! WOW! WOW! He is dangerous. It sends cold chills down my spine. How did such a wicked person gain control of America?(I think GW may have been part of the blame…sick of him and his doings)
What are we going to do about it? So we vote him out and it will take years to overcome the damage he has done. WOW! Wake up America!!!

I’ve not yet finished reading “The Roots of Obama’s Rage.” However, I believe your analysis is accurate as far as it goes. My background is advanced degrees in psychology, education and theology. My assessment of Obama is much the same as yours. However, I think you have not gotten to the “taproot” of his rage nor have you examined the possibility that his methodology has an ultimate goal that extends far beyond America and Europe. That is, ending or reducing the neocolonial behavior of these is only a stage or stepping stone to his ultimate aims and desires. I’d be interested in a dialogue in this regard. Continue the good work.

Just finished “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” after having read “Letters to a Young Conservative”. BOTH amazing reads. I have laid down “Roots…” and picked up “The End of Racism”. Dinesh, after having just read a few chapters, I would be interested in some updated thoughts on the ideas discussed in “Racism”. I am a white male teacher (the ultimate “colonialist”) who teaches in low-income schools with great diversity and love every minute of it. BTW – I love me some good murgh makhani!

I am from New Zealand. This afternoon I finished reading your excellent book and the last chapter “The Last Anti-Colonist” was a great conclusion to your story. – Here’s hoping more people will take the time to read your book.

I just finished reading “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” and first of all just want to say I hope you are alive and well. But, from what I have seen here on your website you are! Well, then, just want to say thank you for putting a name to the ideology whose insidious presence I have experienced within the African-American culture since 1999. It is something that started, I do not know when, but has caused an alarming change in how African-Americans are acting within society. I am 58-years old and I grew up during the Civil Rights movement. I, also, have lived and worked around African-Americans all my life since then. And, I believe, what you have described here as inherent only to Obama is not quite correct. And, now, to make things worse it is the beliefs of those who support him whether they be black or white. So, yes, you are correct. This is something to be very worried about.

      Hello Loretta,
I too have read the book about 2 mos. ago and it was so revealing to me as I have read some of the other books, each one more telling, as Obama was an enigma to me, but Dinesh D’Souza really brought everything forth. I want to see the movie, but where it is showing is about 3 hrs away from my home, so I keep checking to see if it comes closer. If not, I might have to purchase the DVD as I would like to share it with my friends and family. We have been taken to the cleaners as they say and it is so sad. My husband, family and myself have always worked where there were different cultures and never have we experienced such encouraged racism as we are today. Martin Luther King would have been so sad to see how all the efforts of the 60′s have been trashed by these people. Blessings for beginnings of renewal in November. A

True,Martin was concerned about content of character, not the color of skin, while obama is about racism,if we dissent from him,we’re racist…as far as anti colonialism,he’s acting like one by the millions of $ spent on vacations on the taxpayers dime at a time where millions can’t get a job…

For the first time, I began to understand what is really motivating our President to make the unbelievable decisions he has and the reason for his aloofness from pressing issues.

Thanks for this great book. I also reccomend your Whats So Great About Christianity.

My hope is that Mr. Romney’s team reads The Roots of Obama’s Rage to really understand what they are really competing with.

    C. Adams book Injustice has helped me better understand what E. Holders guiding philosophy is.

    Best Regards,

After reading “The Roots of Obama’s Rage”, I’ve been attuned to the way Obama thinks. His father, who he aspires to emulate, was an enemy to Western civilization. Obama believes that the American people need a “Big Brother” to take care of them and that no one can become truly successful through just hard work alone. This sort of ideology is the antithesis of capitalism and will lead to the destruction of the free market in America. The worst part is that Obama truly believes he’s helping our country. I can only hope that Mitt Romney wins the next election.

I purchased the audio book and really enjoyed it, while being mortified at the same time. 2016 scratches the surface: This book details everything more clearly and in greater depth (of course, it’s a book!). The audio version allowed me to do other tasks while listening. I liked the speaker too, although Dinesh did a fantastic job on the 2016 audio.

Will buy Obama’s America as soon as I think I can stomach it.

    Thank you, Dinesh.

Keep up the good work, and thank you for bringing a unified theory of Obama’s behavior to the mainstream. It pains me every day when I see people debating his actions and motivations as if he is an American patriot, when in fact his actions reveal a pattern of a man celebrating and contributing to the decline of American wealth and power. People find this impossible to believe and seem to experience a very serious cognitive dissonance — and yet the truth is profound (isn’t it always?).

I imagined a few years ago Obama being appointed by the Council to Destroy the United States (a humorous graphic novel of sorts, the “Obama Martian Chronicles”), which was my own attempt at a unified theory about the man and what he is doing here. Quite a mission indeed, and he is sticking to it faithfully.

As I watched your movie Obama’s America 2016 I could not help but think of it as a marker that will grow in its importance as Obama’s systematic replacement of anglo-saxon institutions and ideals with feudal models of serfdom and patronage ultimately extinguishes the light of our heritage. Future historians will ask: What happened? And there will be your thesis, in The Rage, and Obama’s America, to show them that this epic tragedy was perpetrated in plain site.

Let the record show, as aided by your fine work, that this man was and is the Laszlo Toth of our time, as he hammers the pieta that is the United States, every day another blow, and another, and another. It breaks my heart.

  16. Andi Talbot August 13, 2012 at 12:20 pm #

Yes, you are so right. I have read several books trying to figure him out, but Dinesh D’Souza’s “Roots of Obama’sRage” really clarified all for me. Went to see the movie. People talking afterwards were so glad that all this is coming out. He never should have even been considered for President in the first place. And as we know some are very gullible and he said what they wanted to hear, just didn’t deliver.

LOL “I’m from India and I married a ‘girl’ (sic) from Louisiana. So I come from a similar perspective as Obama.”

Oh yes, I’m sure this perspective will greatly enlighten me as to Obama’s perspective and motives. You’re virtual soul mates and twins. ROFLMAO

Love the illiterate, paranoid comments here, too.
